If you’re a High Peak council tenant and want to buy your council house, you need to apply under the Right to Buy scheme. The main step is to read the Government guidance, then complete the RTB1 form and return it to the council.

A couple of things to keep in mind: Right to Buy does not apply to all properties, including some sheltered housing and elderly person’s accommodation. If you’ve already applied, the council says your solicitor should contact them on your behalf because it’s a legal process.
