Newham offers a few different kinds of support for carers, from advice and one-to-one help to breaks, respite care and workplace support. The main route is a carer’s assessment, which helps work out what support you need and how it can be provided.

Newham also says carers assessments can be done face-to-face, by phone, online, or via supported self-assessment, and there is no charge for a carers assessment or information and advice. If you want to request a carers assessment online, you can do that here: request a carers assessment online.
