Oldham says school place applications are made online, and you should read each school’s admissions policy before you submit. The process and deadline are slightly different for primary and secondary places, so I’ve set them out below.
| School place | How to apply | Deadline / key notes | Help / online link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary school place | Apply online | Applications can only be made online. You must press the submit button at the end, or the application will not be sent. Late applications are still possible online but will be dealt with after on-time applications. | Apply for a primary school place |
| Secondary school place | Apply online | Applications can only be made online. You must press the submit button at the end, or the application will not be sent. Late applications are still possible online but will be dealt with after on-time applications. | Apply for a secondary school place |
Oldham also says you’ll get an instant acknowledgement, a confirmation email when you submit, and another email when the council has picked up your application. If you can’t get online from home, local library computers are available, and the admissions team can help on ecs.pupils@oldham.gov.uk or 0161 770 4213.
