You apply by completing Oldham’s Travel Assistance Application Form, or by contacting the Travel Assistance Team directly. Oldham also offers travel training, a mileage rate, a Personal Travel Budget, or council-arranged accessible transport depending on your circumstances.

Oldham says it will check the information you provide and may carry out a full assessment, including a home visit and consultation with the school or other organisations. If travel assistance is agreed, it will normally start within 20 working days.
If you disagree with a decision, you can appeal to an independent panel; the decision letter explains how to do that.
