In Rossendale, the introduction of food waste collections is a new legal requirement starting from April 2026. Unfortunately, residents cannot opt-out of the food waste service if they do not want the caddies, as every household is required to participate in this initiative.
Here's what you'll receive:
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| 5-litre kitchen caddy | For storing food waste in your kitchen |
| 23-litre kerbside caddy | For outside use with a lockable lid |
| A roll of caddy liners | To line the kitchen caddy |
| Information leaflet | All details on food waste recycling |
