Rossendale asks you to put your bins out by 6.45am on your normal collection day, at the boundary of your property or your usual collection point. For food waste, weekly collections start from week commencing 6th April 2026, and until then food waste should go in your green bin.

Rossendale also says not to put food waste into the new recycling bin until a week before food collections begin. If you’re putting out garden waste, make sure the bin is available by 6.45am at the boundary of your property or designated collection point.
