You can register to vote online through the Government website, or you can register by phone or with a paper application. West Lothian also says you can check whether you’re already registered through the Electoral Registration Office.

If you’d rather not appear on the edited electoral register, you can choose that on the application form. Once you’re registered, you’ll get a poll card for polling station voting, or you can apply for a postal or proxy vote if needed.
