Bolton asks you to apply online through the Citizen Portal, and you can choose up to three schools in order of preference. Once you’ve submitted it, you can log back in to check updates, and you’ll get the offer by email when a place is allocated.

For primary places, Bolton says supplementary faith forms and baptism certificates should be sent by 15 January, and medical evidence by 15 January too. For secondary places, the closing date is 31 October 2025, with extra information such as faith forms and medical evidence also needed by 31 October 2025.
