Bus passes in Bolton are handled a bit differently depending on who the pass is for. For over 60s, under 16s, students and disabled people, Bolton directs you to Transport for Greater Manchester’s Cards and Passes service, while school and SEND travel passes are applied for through Bolton Council.

If you’re applying for a school or travel pass, Bolton advises checking the eligibility criteria first. For school travel applications made in August, there’s no guarantee they’ll be assessed in time for the start of the new academic year.
