Cherwell uses an alternate-week system: one week for rubbish, the next for recycling and garden waste, while food waste caddies are collected every week. Blue recycling bins are emptied once a fortnight, green rubbish bins are emptied once a fortnight, brown garden waste bins are collected on the alternate week, and silver outdoor food caddies go out weekly.
