If fly tipping is on private land, Dartford says the landowner is responsible for clearing it up. The Council can’t remove dumped rubbish from private land, but you should still report it and pass on any evidence that might help identify who did it.

Dartford’s records are clear that rubbish on private land is the landowner’s responsibility. If the waste is causing a public health problem rather than just being dumped, the Council also has a separate route for accumulations of waste on private, domestic or commercial premises.
