You can apply online for free school meals through Edinburgh’s school grants application. If you’d rather not do it online, you can also apply in person at the Customer Hub at 249 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ.

A single application form covers free school meals and the other school grants. If you apply on or before 30 September, Edinburgh will backdate your award to the start of the new school term in August; after 30 September, it starts from the date they receive your application.
