If you’ve moved house recently, Medway says you need to update a few people and services straight away so your Council Tax, benefits, mail and utilities are all in the right place.
| What to do | Details |
|---|---|
| Tell Medway Council | Update your Council Tax details and, if relevant, your Housing Benefit claim. Tell us you’ve moved home |
| Tell other services | Let your GP, dentist, employer or Jobcentre, bank/building society, electricity/gas/water/phone companies, school or college/university, and any social worker or probation worker know. |
| Redirect your post | You can pay the Post Office to forward mail from your old address to your new one. |
| Update housing-related details | If you’re a council tenant, connect your services, check waste collection days, and make sure any rent or tenancy paperwork is in order. |
| If you get Housing Benefit | You must tell Medway if you move home or your circumstances change. Report changes to your benefit details |
If you’ve moved within Medway, into Medway, or out of Medway, Medway Council also wants the move dates and address details so they can update your Council Tax record correctly.
