If your application for a school place has been refused, you have the right to appeal to an independent appeals panel. Here's how you can do it:

For secondary schools, appeal forms will be available from 2 March 2026, with a deadline to submit of 10 April 2026. For primary schools, the forms will be available from 16 April 2026, with a deadline of 8 May 2026.
You’ll generally receive the panel's decision within five working days. If your appeal is upheld, your child may receive a place at the school.
