Ribble Valley asks you to report noise complaints to Environmental Health first, and they’ll look into nuisance problems like noise, smells, dust, or intrusive light. Before you report it, they also recommend trying to speak directly to the person or organisation causing the noise.
| How to report | Contact details | What to include |
|---|---|---|
| contact@ribblevalley.gov.uk | Your details and the address of the premises you’re complaining about | |
| Phone | 01200 425111 | Your details and the address of the premises you’re complaining about |
It also helps to keep a diary of when the noise happens, how long it lasts, and how it affects you, because Ribble Valley says they need evidence to investigate properly. If the council can’t take formal action, you may still be able to take private action.
