After you report a noise complaint, Ribble Valley will ask for your details, the address of the premises, and evidence showing how the nuisance is affecting you. They may investigate informally first, but if there still isn’t enough evidence they may not be able to take formal action.
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Initial report | You contact Ribble Valley with your details and the address of the problem premises |
| Evidence gathering | You’re asked to help gather evidence about the nuisance and its impact on you |
| Investigation | The Council investigates the complaint |
| Possible outcome | If there isn’t enough evidence, the Council may not take formal action |
| If needed | You may still take private action yourself |
You can report a complaint by email at contact@ribblevalley.gov.uk or by phone on 01200 425111.
