Runnymede’s household collections depend on the type of waste, and most bins and caddies need to be out by 6:00 am on collection day. Food waste is collected weekly, clinical waste and sharps have their own arrangements, and missed collections are handled separately.
| Waste / container | When to put it out | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Food bin / food caddy | By 6:00 am on collection day | Food waste is collected weekly. Houses use a green food caddy; flats use a communal food bin. |
| General bins and caddies | Before 6:00 am on the morning of collection | Place them at the edge of your property, close to the pavement but not on it, and make sure they’re visible from the road. |
| Clinical waste sack collection in yellow wheelie bin | By 5:00 am on collection day | Present the yellow bin with tied clinical waste sacks inside. Collections are every fortnight, on Wednesday of refuse collection week. |
| Sharps box | By 5:00 am on collection day | Present sharps separately from clinical waste sacks. This is a collection-only service. |
| Missed bin collection report | After 3:00 pm on your usual collection day, within 24 hours of that day | If Friday is missed, report by Monday 5:00 pm. |
For food waste, Runnymede says every property gets a silver kitchen caddy and either a green food caddy for houses or a communal food bin for flats. If you’re trying to report a missed collection, you can do that through the council’s requests and reports service.
