You can register to vote online, by phone, or by asking for a form to be sent to you. Scottish Borders also says you can check whether you’re already registered by calling the Electoral Registration Officer on 01835 825100.

A few basics: you must be aged 14 or over, and you’ll need to be eligible to register in Scotland. If you’ve moved house recently, Scottish Borders says to register as early as possible after the change.
