Yes — Torridge says you can be referred to supported accommodation if you have additional support needs and want to be considered for it.
| Type of supported accommodation | Who is eligible |
|---|---|
| General supported accommodation | People with additional support needs who wish to be considered for supported accommodation |
| Supported mental health accommodation | People assessed by the Community Mental Health Team as requiring a significant level of support on a weekly basis |
| Supported accommodation for care leavers | Care leavers who are working with their Personal Advisor or Streetwise and who may be ready for that option |
For supported mental health accommodation, Torridge says the Housing Options team cannot make the referral — you need to speak to the Community Mental Health Team. For care leavers, your Personal Advisor or an advisor from the Streetwise Project can talk you through what’s available and refer you.
