To bid for a council or housing association home in Watford, you first need to be accepted onto the Housing Register. Once you’re on the register, you can bid for available housing association homes advertised on the Home Connections website.
| Way to bid | What you need to do |
|---|---|
| Online | Log in with your Home Connections Household ID number and password |
| By telephone | Call 01923 278585 and Customer Services staff will help you place your bid online |
| In person | Go to the Customer Services Centre in the Town Hall, where staff will help you place your bid online |
There’s no money involved in placing a bid — it’s just how you tell the council you’re interested in being considered for that home. Homes are allocated to the bidder on the Housing Register with the highest housing need.
If you’ve lost your login details, you can use the “Forgot my login details?” option on Home Connections, or contact the council and they’ll write to you with the information you need.
