When you report a noise nuisance to High Peak, you should include enough detail for them to log each incident properly and understand how serious or frequent it is. They may also ask you to help by providing access for monitoring and, if needed, a witness statement.
| What to include / be ready to provide | Details from High Peak |
|---|---|

| Access for monitoring | Let officers access your property if they need to monitor the noise |
| Witness statement | Be prepared to provide a witness statement |
| Court attendance | You may be asked to appear as a council witness if the case goes to court |
| Timely return of log sheet | Complete and return the log sheet within 28 days |
High Peak says it won’t investigate anonymous complaints, so your report needs to be identifiable to them even though they won’t reveal your identity during the early stages. If you’re reporting a council tenant, High Peak asks you to use the Noise App 2.0 and select “High Peak Borough Council” as the service provider.
