You can't currently renew your existing parking permit because Scottish Borders Council isn't accepting renewals as part of a review that started on 1 March 2026. However, you can continue to use your expired permit until 30 September 2026 at no extra cost.
Here's a quick summary of the relevant information:
| Action | Details |
|---|---|
| Renewals | Not accepted since 1 March 2026 |
| Current permit validity | Continue using until 30 September 2026 |
| New permit application | Not available until after the review is complete |
Keep displaying your current permit as usual until the end of September 2026. For future updates or if you need to change vehicle details, you can check their website or contact the parking department directly.
