If you’re a blue badge holder and the parking bay would be outside your home, Scottish Borders lets you apply for a disabled parking space online. You’ll need to upload proof that a vehicle is registered at the address and proof of your blue badge.
| What you need to apply | Details |
|---|---|
| Who can apply | A blue badge holder living at the address where the bay is to be marked, with a vehicle registered at that address, and no driveway or private vehicular access |
| Online application | apply for a disabled parking space online |
| Documents needed | V5 car registration document or Mobility lease document; blue badge copy or blue badge number |
| If you can’t upload documents | Complete the online form and bring the documents to your local Contact Centre |
| If you have questions or need to report changes | Use the online form to contact the Road Safety team |
| What happens next | Your documents go to the Road Safety team, and a letter is sent within two weeks |
If the bay is no longer needed later on, Scottish Borders says you can contact the Road Safety team online to have it reviewed for removal.
