Scottish Borders lets you report a pothole online using its road and pavement reporting form. You start by plotting the pothole location on the map, then submit the report.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open the pothole reporting page: report a pothole |
| 2 | Use the map to find the location. If cookies are enabled, it should default to your location. |
| 3 | If needed, search by postcode, road name, address with town/village, or What3Words. |
| 4 | Zoom in until the grey line appears, then plot the approximate location on that line. |
| 5 | Click the “Report a Pothole” button to continue. |
| 6 | Add any extra information if you want before you submit. |
If the pothole is an immediate and critical danger, Scottish Borders says not to report it online — instead, call Customer Advice and Support or Emergency out of hours using the details on their Contact Us page.
