You can report a pothole through West Lothian Council’s road issue service. The main page for this is Report a Pothole or Other Road Issue.
| What to do | Details |
|---|---|
| Report online | Use the road issue reporting service and log the defect as a new issue. |
| Give location details | Drop the pin on the map to show the exact location, and include as much detail as possible. |
| Multiple potholes | Log each defect separately as a new issue. |
| Anonymous reporting | Call the Contact Centre on 01506 280000. |
| Motorway potholes | For potholes on the M8 and M9 trunk roads, contact BEAR Scotland by email at enquiries@bearscotland.co.uk or phone 01738 448 600. |
If the pothole is on a Council road, the council will assess it and then deal with it as appropriate. For dangerous defects, West Lothian makes the area safe as quickly as possible.
