Once you submit a complaint against an elected councillor in West Berkshire, there are several steps the council will follow:

| Initial Assessment Meeting | The Monitoring Officer will meet with an Independent Person to decide on the next steps regarding your complaint. | Usually within 25 working days |
| Outcome Notification | After the assessment, you and the Subject Member will be informed of the outcome of the complaint. | Within 5 working days after the meeting |
